Class Rings
For many years, Yale rings have been proudly worn by generations of Elis. However, in the past 20 years, ring designs and options have multiplied to the point where the symbolism of the ring has been lost and anyone could purchase a ring - even if they did not attend Yale.
Just as there is only one Yale, a unique institution with a rich history and storied tradition, the ring Yale students and alumni wear should be every bit as unique and reserved exclusively for Yale alumni, juniors and seniors. Their Yale ring should be an immediately identifiable symbol that can be worn and recognized by other Elis throughout the world.
After surveying all Yale undergraduates, a committee of students has created a ring that contains the elements that best represent our Yale history, education and experience. While the ring is consistent and iconic in design, it is available in Large, Medium, Small and Tiny and a variety of metals.
Sale promotions are held periodically throughout the academic year. Students will be informed of these events through mailings and campus postering.
