The Cap & Gown Agency is proud to provide eco-friendly commencement caps and gowns made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, in partnership with Oak Hall Industries.
This student-run organization manages the ordering and distribution of regalia for Yale College undergraduates as well as graduate and professional school students.

| After April 10, 4:00 p.m. | A very limited number of extra caps, gowns, and hoods will be available during regalia distribution on a first-come, first-served basis. Only Credit Card payments will be accepted at this time. An additional $10.00 late fee will apply. |

All keepsake robes are black, and all gowns and hoods are intended for relatively limited use. Degree candidates who wish to purchase custom Yale regalia (i.e., “Yale blue” doctoral or master’s gown, faille hood, doctoral tam or cap) may order directly from the Custom Department of Oak Hall Industries.
Please note that “Yale blue” gowns are not available through the student Cap & Gown Agency.
Students will receive the regalia they ordered. Exchanges are not permitted.
Pick-Up Location:
Payne Whitney Gymnasium – Please bring your Yale I.D.
If you cannot pick up your attire during the scheduled times, you may authorize someone else to pick it up. The person picking up your regalia must present their Yale I.D. (or valid official ID) along with an email from you giving them permission to pick up your attire.
A very limited number of extra caps, gowns, and hoods will be available during distribution on a first-come, first-served basis. An additional $10 late fee will apply for these extras. Payment via credit card only. Cash payments will not be accepted.

A. Students can order online and pay by credit card or student charge (for those students who currently have the privilege of charging designated goods and services to their student accounts, charging will be available to them until 4 pm on March 28).
A. You will have the option of selecting a “Primary” degree which will determine your gown selections and a “Joint” degree option to purchase a second hood if you desire.
A. If you are unable to pick up your attire at any of these times, you must make arrangements for someone else to pick it up for you. The person who is picking up your attire must present their Yale I.D. (or a valid official photo I.D.) with an email from you giving them permission to pick up your attire.

Senior Gown - black, untrimmed, with open, pointed sleeves
Master Gown - black, untrimmed, with oblong sleeves open at wrist, color of hood and tassel vary by school
Doctoral Gown - black with velvet facing, bell sleeves, three velvet bars on each sleeve, color of hood and tassel vary by school.
Custom Regalia (Yale Blue)
Faculty should return the completed rental order form and payment to the designated contact person listed for their appropriate school or college. This list and other information are available at commencement.yale.edu.
