Commencement 2018 information has been updated.
The Cap and Gown Agency is proud to continue offering eco-friendly caps and gowns for students that are made from 100 percent, post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. This line of graduation wear, manufactured by Oak Hall, is named GreenWeaver. The fabric is made from spun molten plastic pellets and the result is a fabric so comfortably soft you have to feel it to believe it! It takes an average of 23 bottles to make each gown.
ASA takes pride in its ongoing commitment in support of the University’s sustainability goals by continuing to offer GreenWeaver attire for Yale’s Commencement. In fostering GreenWeaver at Yale, we are hopeful that this movement will have an impact on other Colleges and Universities in making a choice to “go green” on their campuses. For more information and details on GreenWeaver attire, please visit the Oak Hall website at: http://www.oakhalli.com/greenweavermovement.php
